We are looking for:

BizAway is a high-growth, tech-enabled B2B travel management company, operating at the forefront of digital transformation within the travel sector. Following significant investment from a leading private equity firm, we are embarking on the next phase of our international expansion, with the ambition to become a global leader and technology pioneer within its $1 trillion market by 2030.

To support this exciting journey, we are seeking a highly capable and strategic Head of People to drive the development and scaling of the People function across Europe and beyond (8 offices in 4 countries)


 

Your role in BizAway: 


BizAway is now looking for a high-energy, dynamic and innovative Head of People to support us on our growth journey.
We know that our people, present and future, will be key to our success and will unlock our ability to achieve the
aspirations outlined above.
  • The new Head of People will be responsible for the management and development of the entire People department (currently a team of 8) in an expansion phase that lays the foundation for future management.
  • This position represents an incredible opportunity for a person with the right skills and initiative to make a mark in the creation of procedures for the growth of BizAway's workforce and the development of the careers of our employees in a special moment of organisational growth.
  • You will be leading the HR and People function, covering acquisition, development, retention and engagement across the BizAway team.
  • You will be central to creating and implementing a compelling employee value proposition: ensuring personal and professional growth, supportive processes around performance review and job levelling, as well as helping to maintain and develop a vibrant, inclusive and high-performance culture.


What you will do in the first 12 months:
 
  • Implementation of a system for job levelling and identifying the key skills required for each level
  • Create a best-in-class Performance Management workflow to guarantee support for employee career path development and progression
  • Help scale our talent acquisition engine and optimise hiring processes to enable team growth of 40%
  • Manage employee engagement and relations, and strive to keep unwanted churn below 5%
  • Craft a leadership development programme for all mid-level and senior managers

Skills and qualifications: 
 
  • Proven experience in building out an HR function across acquisition, development, retention, and engagement
  • Track record of supporting a technology scale-up firm (or similar) grow, ideally from 250-500 to 1000 FTES
  • Strong people management and team collaboration skills, and experience in managing international teams
  • An effective and empathetic communicator with gravitas and credibility
  • Proactive and reliable approach, with excellent organisational skills
  • Capacity to contribute strategically to the company's goals and vision
  • Ability to work at a high level with strategic vision, but also to enter the daily activity with a hands-on practical approach and support the team
  • We are also looking for someone who embodies our core values of Proactivity, Reliability, and Kindful Collaboration and Communication.
  • Professional level of English and Italian, knowledge of Spanish is a plus
