We are looking for 

We are looking for a driven and enthusiastic Accounts Payables Team Leader (m/w/d) , who desires to contribute to the growth and success of our Accounting Team.


Your role in BizAway

1. Team Coordination & Leadership

• Supervise and mentor a team of four people
• Review team output to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to internal controls.

2. Month-End Closing & Reporting

• Bank Reconciliation Coordination: oversee the reconciliation process between bank statements and the General Ledger, ensuring all entries are matched and discrepancies are resolved promptly;
• Perform detailed reviews and reconciliations of Travel & Expenses (T&E) and Overhead costs.
• Manage AP Accruals: Calculate and post monthly accruals to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Lead the AP month-end closing activities to ensure strict adherence to deadlines.

3. Process Improvement

• Audit existing workflows to identify inefficiencies
• Implement digital solutions or cleaner processes to reduce manual entry and improve data integrity.

4. Compliance & Tax

• Maintain expert knowledge of Italian VAT (IVA) regulations.
• Oversee statutory requirements related to the passive cycle (e.g., electronic invoicing, withholding tax).



Your basic qualifications

• Experience: 4+ years of proven work experience in an AP or Accounting role, preferably in an international or fast-paced environment.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of accounting principles and current financial/tax legislation. In-depth knowledge of Italian VAT (IVA) regulations.
• Software & Systems: High proficiency in Excel (Advanced formulas, Pivot Tables). NetSuite knowledge is a significant plus.
• BI Systems: Familiarity with Business Intelligence tools is a plus;
• Languages: High level of English is mandatory; Italian is a strong plus.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional time management, communication, and problem-solving skills with a leadership mindset.



Our offer

📄 Contract type: Permanent Contract 
🕓 Working hours: Full-time – 40h/week, from Monday to Friday
🏠 Hybrid: Smart Working Policy (2 days remotely and 3 in the office) and great offices in Europe
💰 Salary: Starting from 3rd level and above, with a salary range of  €27- €37K in accordance with the National
Collective Agreement for the Commerce sector (CCNL Commercio)
